About Me

Hi, I am Kim Ellis.

I am a current Secondary school teacher of 10+ years, and a newborn and family photographer. My son, Arthur, is approximately 6 years old, and my daughter, Emily, is approximately 4 years old. I teach part time and run my photography business part time from home.

My journey to motherhood has been the biggest inspiration for me to begin my adventure into professional photography. Since having Arthur & Emily, I've discovered the truest form of joy that life could ever bring me, and that is making and sharing memories with my family. It brings me such excitement to capture beautiful moments of fun, love and family for both myself and others. I really understand these are not just photos, but to you they are freezing a stage of your journey as a family that you can keep forever, as your kids continue to grow and change over time!

As both a teacher and a mother, I have the right temperament and nature to communicate with children of all ages and i genuinely ejoy it! I am organised, calm, nurturing, creative, diligent and a perfectionist. All of this couples so greatly with my love for newborn and family photography. My attention to detail has also won multiple photography awards of silver and bronze in the categories of baby and children.
